Add the tracking code in wraxxCMS

This one is refreshingly short. You do not have to copy any code, paste anything, or publish anything. In wraxxCMS you just flip a switch, and from that moment on Trustlytics measures your visitors.

The reason for that is further down. In short: wraxxCMS and Trustlytics are built by the same team. The connection is already built in and just waiting for you to turn it on.

Time needed: barely a minute.

Step-by-step guide

Signing in and picking a website

Sign in to wraxxCMS.

Managing several websites? Then pick the one you want to measure at the top left. If you only look after a single one, it is already selected, and you can skip this step.

Why that matters: the switch in the next step applies to exactly the website selected up top. If you have several and want to measure all of them, run through this guide once per website

Settings

In the menu on the left, click "Settings". The settings then appear in the main window.

Click "Advanced" there.

Activating Trustlytics

In the "Advanced" area you will find the "Trustlytics Analytics" section.

That is where the "Enable Trustlytics" switch sits. It is off by default. Click it so it flips over.

That is it. No code, no save button, no publishing. From now on, Trustlytics counts the visitors to this website.

How wraxxCMS knows your address

One question comes up almost every time at this point: how does the system actually know which website to measure? You never typed an address anywhere.

The answer is sitting right in front of you. At the top of the main window you see your website addres, for example, www.your-domain.com. That is exactly the one being used. wraxxCMS passes it along to Trustlytics automatically.

A quick check is still worth it. Does it show the address your visitors actually use? Then you are done. If you see a different address than you expected up there, you probably picked the wrong website at the top left.

Why this is so easy

With other systems, you copy a code, hunt for the right field, watch out for the head or footer section, and publish again afterward. Here one switch does it. There is a simple reason for that.

wraxxCMS and Trustlytics are both made by Kuvvu. That is why the connection between the two is already built in. You do not have to plug together something that already belongs together.

In practical terms that means: no line of code that can break while copying. No wrong placement that costs you half your numbers. And nothing that gets lost when your website gets updated.

Checking

Two minutes and you know it is running:

  1. Open your website in a new browser window.
  2. Click through a few pages.
  3. Switch to the Real-time report in Trustlytics.
  4. Within a few seconds, your own visit should show up there.

If something is there, everything is installed correctly. If it stays empty, the section below will help.

When nothing gets counted

With a route this short, there is not much that can go wrong. Four things cover the usual cases:

Cause What to do
Switch not on Back to "Settings" and "Advanced". Is "Enable Trustlytics" really on? Sometimes the switch does not flip on the first click.
Wrong website selected If you manage several websites, check at the top left which one is currently selected. The switch only applies to that one.
Address does not match Compare the address at the top of the main window with the one in your Trustlytics account under Website. Both have to be the same.
Website not public yet As long as your website is not live, nobody comes by, and there is nothing to count.

Common questions

Do I really not have to paste in any code?
Really not. wraxxCMS puts in what is needed on its own as soon as the switch is on. The whole business of copying, pasting, and head sections does not apply to you.

Do I have to publish my website again afterward?
No. The change takes effect immediately. You can check the Real-time report right after.

Does this apply to every page of my website?
Yes. Home page, subpages, everything. And pages you create later are automatically included. There is nothing left to remember.

I manage several websites. Is one click enough for all of them?
No. The switch belongs to whichever website is selected at the top left. So pick each website in turn and turn the switch on there too.

Can I turn the measurement off again?
Yes, any time. Flip the same switch back off, and nothing gets counted anymore. Your data so far stays in Trustlytics, so you lose nothing.

Will my website get slower because of it?
No. The script is tiny and loads in the background without holding up the rest of your page.

Do my visitors need a cookie banner now?
No. Trustlytics works without cookies. Your visitors do not have to click anything away or confirm anything.
