Invoices

This one is pleasantly uncomplicated. All your Trustlytics invoices sit on this page in one place, ready to view and ready to download as a PDF. That is all you need to know, and there is nothing to set up.

In short: one list, two clicks, and the invoice is on your device. Exactly the way your accounting needs it.

The loading notice at the top

When you open the page, a blue notice sometimes flashes up briefly at the top: "Loading invoices …". Nothing to puzzle over. It only means Trustlytics is checking in the background with the payment provider whether a new invoice has come in for you.

Two things can happen:

  • If there are new invoices, "New invoices available. Refreshing page …" appears for a moment, and the list reloads on its own.
  • If there is nothing new, the notice disappears again after a short while, with "Sync complete".

You do not have to lift a finger, this runs automatically. For technical reasons, Trustlytics checks at most once per minute. So if you reload several times in a row and do not see anything new right away, that is not a glitch, it is on purpose.

Invoices

As soon as invoices exist, you see a clear table with five columns:

Column What it means
Invoice The invoice number.
Status The state of the invoice as a colored label, more on that in a moment.
Amount The invoice amount including the currency symbol.
Date When the invoice was issued.
Download Two icons for viewing and downloading, more on that in a moment.

Invoice status

The colored label in the Status column tells you at a glance where an invoice stands. Handy when you just want to see quickly whether everything is paid:

Status What it means
Paid The invoice is settled. The normal case, marked in green.
Invoiced The invoice has been created.
Awaiting payment The payment is still outstanding.
Pending Currently being processed.
Overdue The payment is overdue. Worth a look.
⁣Canceled The invoice was canceled.
Refunded The amount was refunded.
Failed The payment failed.
If an invoice says Overdue or Failed, your best move is to check under "Subscription & payment" whether your payment method is still current. Most of the time an expired card is behind it.

Viewing or downloading an invoice

Two small icons wait at the far right of every row:

The (eye) opens the invoice as a preview in a new browser tab. Ideal when you only want a quick look without saving anything.

The (arrow) saves the invoice as a PDF on your device. Exactly what you hand to your accountant or file in your books.

When the icons are grayed out

Sometimes the two icons are pale and cannot be clicked. That simply means the PDF for this invoice is not ready yet. Hover over them with your mouse and the notice appears: "The PDF will be provided the next time you open this page."

What to do? Nothing complicated. Wait a moment and reload the page with F5. On the next visit, Trustlytics fetches the PDF automatically, and the icons become clickable. If it does not work the first time, give it a moment and try again right after.

When you do not have any invoices yet

If you have never received an invoice, maybe because you have not had a paid subscription yet, it simply says "You do not have any invoices yet." Everything is fine. As soon as the first invoice is created, it shows up here on its own. There is nothing for you to trigger.

What is in it for me?

At first glance, a simple list. The value shows up the moment tax season gets close or your accountant asks for a receipt. Then you do not have to search, do not have to ask support, do not have to dig through old emails. Every invoice is here, cleanly dated, with status and amount, one click to the PDF.

When it counts, that saves you exactly the nerves nobody has to spare at the end of a quarter.

Good to know

  • The list shows your newest invoices first. Whatever came in last sits at the top.
  • Only real invoices appear. Pure test or zero bookings, during a free trial for example, do not show up here.
  • Your invoices are private and visible only to you.

Common questions

I see the notice "Loading invoices …". Do I have to do anything?
No. In the background, Trustlytics checks with the payment provider Paddle whether a new invoice has come in. If there is something new, the list refreshes by itself. If there is nothing, the notice disappears again.

The download icons are pale and cannot be clicked. Why?
Because the PDF for this invoice is not ready yet. Just reload the page with F5. On the next visit the PDF gets provided, and the icons become clickable.

What is the difference between the eye and the arrow?
The eye only opens the invoice for viewing in a new tab. The arrow downloads it as a PDF to your device. The eye to look, the arrow to keep.

Why does an invoice say "Overdue" or "Failed"?
Then a payment did not go through, often because of an expired card. Check your payment method under "Subscription & payment" and update it if needed.

I have no invoices at all yet. Is that a mistake?
No. As long as you have not had a paid subscription, there is simply nothing to bill. As soon as the first invoice is created, it appears here automatically.

Can anyone besides me see my invoices?
No. Your invoices are private and visible only to you.
