Delete account

You only need this page if you want to leave Trustlytics for good. Not for a break, not after the trial, not after canceling.

Here is the difference, and it matters: after you cancel, or once your trial runs out, your account simply stays. You can still sign in and pick up a new subscription any time. Delete the account, however, and it is gone for good. Coming back means starting over with a fresh sign-up.

One quick look often does it. Or follow along step-by-step:

The video is in the works. Until then, the guide will get you there.

One condition: no active contract

You can only delete your account once both are true: the contract is canceled and the paid term has run out.

If anything is still open, you will see an orange notice instead of the form. Depending on your situation, it reads:

Notice Notice
"Active contract found" Your subscription is still running and has not been canceled. Cancel it first.
"Canceled contract found" You already canceled, but the paid term is still running. Wait until it ends.

Below the notice sits a "Manage contract" button that takes you to "Subscription & payments". Once the term has run out, the form shows up here.

Why the block? So billing wraps up cleanly and no paid time goes to waste. Your visitor data gets removed automatically when the contract ends anyway.

How to delete your account

With no contract left, you will see a short form. Here is what to do:

  • Enter your current password in the "Password" field.
  • Click the red "Permanently delete account" button.
  • Confirm the safety prompt, "Really delete your account?".

Nothing gets deleted until you confirm. "Cancel" gets you out at any point, with nothing happening.

Why the password? So nobody else can delete your account if you step away from your computer for a minute. If the password is wrong or the field is empty, you get an error message and nothing is deleted.

What happens next

  • You are signed out immediately and land on the sign-in page.
  • You get a confirmation email at the address on file.
  • Your profile picture is removed right away.
  • Your account is deactivated and queued for permanent deletion. After a short transition period, everything tied to it disappears: account, billing details, settings, and connected services.

From that moment on, you can no longer sign in. If you want to use Trustlytics again later, you create a new account. The old data cannot be brought back.

Common questions

Do I have to delete my account when the trial ends?
No. Your account stays, and nothing gets charged. You can still sign in and start a subscription whenever you like.

What about after canceling?
Also no. Your account stays there too. Come back in six months, sign in, and pick a new subscription.

Can I undo the deletion?
No, it is permanent. If you just want a break, cancel your subscription and leave the account alone.

Why do I have to cancel first?
So billing wraps up cleanly and no paid time goes to waste. Trustlytics only unlocks deletion once the paid term has ended.

I canceled, but I still cannot delete. Why?
Because the paid term is still running. Until it ends, your contract counts as active. After that, Trustlytics unlocks deletion.

What happens to my visitor data?
It gets removed automatically when the contract ends, whether you delete the account or not.

I do not remember my password.
Set a new one through "Forgot your password". Then sign in and delete the account.

I made a typo and got an error message.
Then nothing happened. A wrong or empty password means nothing gets deleted. Enter it correctly and try again.

Can I use the same email address later?
For a new account, yes. But your old data does not come back with it. You start from scratch.
